Timberland Lake is a man made rural improvement situated around 22 kms south west of Brisbane in Queensland, Australia. The primary element, the lake itself, is additionally man made yet after over 10 years, has formed into an asylum for some sorts of water feathered creature species. The water winged serpent with its chameleon style shading of greens, blues and tans is another well known occupant of this lake biological community.

I spend numerous hours at the lake with Moxie, my little smaller than usual fox terrier, regularly bringing one of a few Nikon DSLR cameras for organization. My most loved focal point around there is a Nikon 55-200mm zoom focal point that enables me to draw near and individual with the untamed life, frequently delivering astounding shots. Once I'm back at home, I can hardly wait to prepare the photographs and transfer them to on of my sites for individuals to see.

The most widely recognized natural life are the Pacific Black Ducks, Mallards, Swamp Hen and Dusky Moorhen. Sitting discreetly on a seat in the daylight is my most loved past time as these flying creatures hurry over the water in a shower of water as they land, getting at the bread offerings tossed to them by passers-by. I attempt and catch their snapshot of landing utilizing shade need of 1/500s to 1/1000s, solidifying the beads of water falling off the fowls. Sporadically, I see dark swans, exquisite in a spread winged posture on the lake. The zoom focal point proves to be useful at these circumstances, as they are normally in the focal point of the lake. Different guests are the flights of cold white cockatoos and corellas as they boisterously shriek overhead before perching in one of the numerous eucalyptus trees encompassing the lake. A decent panning system frequently gives me a chance to catch some astounding photographs of fowls in flight. One on my most loved feathered creatures is simply the Australasian Darter which submerges to catch little fish possessing the lake waters. As the fledgling spreads its wings, the hues flickering in the sun, I concentrate on the darter with a vast gap on my Nikon to obscure the foundation out of core interest.

I've frequently endeavored to skillet over the sky pursuing the subtle House Martins and Swallows as they haggle over the surface of the lake chasing bug prey. While I unquestionably require a quick shade speed, the main way I take a moment shot of one of the quick moving flying creatures is to discharge a whirlwind of snappy shots, trusting one of the edges delivers the merchandise!

As I stated, I've spent numerous hours at this lake, which is a 10 minute stroll from where I live. I never feel worn out on the assortment of natural life here and would like to spend numerous more hours of my retirement doing what I cherish best - untamed life photography.
